2020-12-29
When it comes to claims, many people may not want to, but the most helpless is that the we are not figure out the quality level of his goods when buyer making a claim, which means that there is no quality inspection before delivery. At this time, discuss the claim with the customer is a very difficult thing.
In order to reduce claims as much as possible, the most basic step is to control product quality! Therefore, we have brought up such a simple topic here again. If possible, foreign trade companies should manage the quality of your goods, and be aware of the approximate quality level, so that you will be more confident when negotiating claims.
Preparation before inspection:
1. First go find a bag that can put things in, a little bigger, not too MINI, let's go to work, not to show!
2. After you have a bag, you must put things in the bag, so that the factory owner will think you are working seriously.
Look for it on the desk before going out, put a pen, and put a blank inspection report. Don’t forget that if you have a confirmation sample, you must bring it. We can compare products at the production site.
In fact, the visual inspection of the product occupies a large proportion, and many appearance defects, chromatic aberrations, etc. can be found through visual inspection. Of course, to measure package size, product size, weight, humidity, barcode, etc., you need to use other measuring and testing tools, such as vernier calipers, tape measures, electronic scales, humidity meters, barcode scanners, etc. If the factory cannot provide them, we'd better keep them in our own bag.
The tools are almost there. Don't forget the product information (Specification), we must use it to verify the shipping mark, inner packaging and product LOGO printing. Finally, don’t forget to bring your mobile phone. We can take product photos and defective photos, and if your wife can’t get in touch with you, you’ll be in trouble!
Well, everything is ready, go! --After three transfers, we arrived at the factory. After the necessary greetings, we could also have a cup of tea and enjoy God-like treatment.

Officially started:
1. Sample size select
We should randomly select the packaged outer boxes according to the international standard (MIL-STD-105), this is very simple, the number of selected outer boxes is the root number of the total outer boxes. For example, there are 121 boxes in total, and we should select 11 boxes. Then according to AQL, select a certain amount of Sample size from the 11 cartons. Sometimes, in order to make the quality of the product look better, the factory will put the worst quality product in the innermost part, so we must randomly sample, and we must choose some bottom cartons.
2. Check the outer packaging
We quickly verify whether the outer packaging meets customer requirements:
*Check the shipping marks
*Check the size and weight of the outer box
*Record the number of the carton that was spot-checked for future tracking
*Check how many layers the carton has, usually the outer box has 5 layers
*Check whether the outer box assembly by of nails or glue
*Check whether the outer box sealing tape is transparent or colored
*Check if there is a packing belt outside the outer box
3. Check the inner packaging
*Check the packaging method, such as sealing, product quantity, etc.
*Check the LOGO & LABEL content and printing quality on the inner packaging
*Check if it is broken or wet
*Check size and weight
4. Product appearance inspection
This is a very important part of quality inspection. We should carefully check each Sample size according to the customer's quality standards, record each defective product and take pictures, and separate defective products from qualified products, and allow the factory to rework or replace. Finally, count the number of defective products, and judge whether the overall quality of the product is PASS according to the AQL table.

5. Testing
*Barcode test, scan the barcode on the product or package with a barcode scanner to see if it meets
*Material test, compare with the confirmed sample material
*Function test, use every function of the product, such as switch, zipper, etc. according to the manual or the customer's Spec.
*Fatigue test, use the vulnerable part of the product many times, repeat it N times, until you are satisfied, of course, we have to refer to the quality standard.
In addition to the above, there are also tests for special products, such as humidity testing for wood products; high-voltage testing for electrical products.
Well, you're done! Now that we have recorded the overall quality status of this batch of goods, we only need to complete the inspection report for the rest!
Let's summarize, the most important thing for Pre-Shipment Inspection is to check the confirmation sample or the Specification provided by the buyer, and then to judge the type of product defect based on the inspector's experience. Of course, being careful, patient, and responsible for your work will help you become a qualified inspector.
