01. Exports of Christmas goods surged 88.5 per cent
Every year from July to September is the peak season for the export of Christmas supplies. 80% of the world's Christmas commodities come from China, and 80% of China's Christmas commodities come from Yiwu. While orders for Christmas supplies in Yiwu have been hit since the outbreak, they are now recovering.
According to the data of China Economic Market Research Center, from January to August 2022, China's export of Christmas supplies was 57.435 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 94.70%, among which the export of Zhejiang Province was 7.589 billion yuan, accounting for 13.21% of the total export.
Data from Yiwu Customs also showed that from January to July 2022, Yiwu Christmas supplies exports reached 1.75 billion yuan, up 88.5% year on year; Among them, the export volume in July was 850 million yuan, up 85.6 percent year on year and 75.8 percent month on month.
02. Qingdao kimchi, sold like crazy in Korea
Recently, more than 260,000 mu of Chinese cabbage has ushered in the harvest season in Qingdao, Shandong province. While some of these cabbages are sold at home, they are also made into delicious kimchi and exported abroad. It is understood that this year Qingdao cabbage cultivation area of about 267,000 mu, the total output is expected to reach 1.33 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 13%. According to the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, there are more than 20 kimchi processing enterprises in Qingdao, which mainly export kimchi to Korea. It is expected that 270,000 tons of kimchi will be exported to Korea this year, accounting for more than half of the annual demand of Korea.
03. Zhejiang thermos Cup, sold in Europe and the United States exploded
A gradual recovery in global business activity has boosted demand for thermos cups in Europe and the US. Zhejiang is the province with the largest number of thermos cup related enterprises, among which Jinhua city alone has more than 1300 thermos cup production and sales enterprises. In Zhejiang Province alone, exports of thermos cups exceeded 5 billion yuan in the first three quarters of this year, up 73.4 percent year-on-year, according to customs data.
04. "Made in China" fitness equipment has a good export prospect
In the fitness market, global fitness users continue to grow and are expected to exceed 1.3 billion in 2023. In the United States, the biggest demand country for fitness, one in ten people practice yoga, which has led to the continued popularity of yoga MATS, foam shafts and other products.
The global cycling market will remain hot for another three years due to the combination of low-carbon travel and government subsidies in Europe and the United States. In the future, South American countries will also have a large number of cycling markets, especially for electric bicycles and electric scooters, the demand is strong.

Statistics from the General Administration of Customs show that from 2017 to 2021, the total export value of fitness equipment has a compound annual growth rate of 32.88%, showing a continuous growth trend. In 2021, the total export value of fitness equipment reached 8.945 billion US dollars. Data from IMedia Research shows that the market size of China's fitness equipment in 2021 is 54.65 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 15%. It is expected to reach 62.85 billion yuan in 2022 and 79.96 billion yuan in 2024.

05. The export of heating equipment skyrocketed, and the demand for customized heating equipment was obvious
Since the beginning of this year, our manufactured heating equipment has been selling well overseas, and the value of exports grew rapidly in the first three quarters. From January to August 2022, China's total exports of small heating appliances reached 14.37 billion yuan, up 21.4 percent year on year, according to the General Administration of Customs.
Electric water heater export orders continue to show the production and sales of electric blankets, electric heaters appear "single tide"...... According to an analysis report by the China Household Electrical Appliances Association, China's exports of home appliances such as air conditioners, heaters and electric blankets to Europe have been on the rise since 2022, with electric blankets leading other categories with a growth rate of 97 percent.
As winter approaches, China's heating equipment is experiencing a wave of export fever. Data show that in the first three quarters of this year, Chinese electric water heaters, heaters and other categories of exports to Europe achieved rapid growth, cumulative exports were 160 million US dollars, 850 million US dollars, electric blanket exports increased 46.1% year-on-year.
06. Exports of wind power equipment have soared, with 60% of the world's exports coming from China
With its "steady" hard power, China's wind power equipment has firmly established itself in the overseas market. From 2017 to 2021, the export volume of wind turbines increased from less than 20,000 units to more than 40,000 units, and the export value increased from nearly 3 billion yuan to more than 9 billion yuan.
In recent years, the export of Chinese wind power equipment has grown rapidly. At present, 60% of the wind power equipment in the global market comes from China. Since 2015, the compound annual growth rate of export capacity of wind power equipment will reach 51%. In the first six months of this year, exports of wind power equipment were up by more than half from a year earlier.
07. The container hull has exploded at the export
Container hulls carrying export cargoes have become one of China's biggest export hits. Nowadays, our country has become the largest shipbuilding country in the world, among which the proportion of export ships is more than 80%. According to the data of Huajing Industrial Research Institute, the export number of China's container ships from January to October 2022 was 93, an increase of 10 compared with the same period in 2021, with a year-on-year growth of 12%; Exports amounted to $376.776 million, an increase of $662.89 million or 21.4 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
Data show that from January to August 2022, China's shipbuilding completed volume was 23.94 million DWT, accounting for 45.4% of the world market share; new orders were 28.05 million DWT, accounting for 50.6% of the world market share; and hand-held orders were 102.03 million DWT, accounting for 47.7% of the world market share. The international market share of the three indexes ranked first in the world. So far this year, the entire China Shipbuilding Group has delivered 159 ships, about 12 million deadweight tons.
08. China's lithium battery export has witnessed explosive growth
Lithium batteries are one of China's export "explosive products". In recent years, the global demand for energy storage equipment has been greatly increased. Customs statistics show that in the first eight months of 2022, China's cumulative export of lithium ion energy storage batteries was 29.926 billion US dollars, up 82.97% year-on-year. In recent years, lithium battery has been regarded as the first choice of modern energy storage equipment worldwide because of its high charging and discharging efficiency and stability.
Since the first batch of lithium battery equipment was exported in 2015, the export of lithium battery equipment has covered more than 30 countries and regions. In 2021, China's energy storage battery shipment reached 48GWh, up 167% year on year. It is expected that the installed capacity will exceed 90GWh in 2022, up 88% year on year, and will exceed 324GWh in 2025. Customs statistics show that in the first eight months of 2022, China's cumulative export of lithium ion energy storage batteries was $29.926 billion, up 82.97% year-on-year.
Under the synergistic effect of technological innovation, economies of scale, price competition and manufacturing experience, the scale of China's lithium battery industry has increased and the cost has fallen rapidly. According to the data, the unit price of battery system of Pineng Technology, a lithium battery manufacturer, dropped from 2.03 yuan /Wh in 2017 to 1.51 yuan /Wh in 2019, and then dropped to 1.45 yuan /Wh in 2020. At present, the average price of Chinese energy storage battery is roughly between 1-2 yuan /Wh, which also becomes the strong advantage of export enterprises.
09. Export increased by over 700%! Home energy storage devices are selling well abroad
Energy supply in Europe continues to be tight, electricity prices remain high, demand for home energy storage equipment has surged, and domestic companies have significantly increased exports. According to the statistics of Taizhou Customs, since the beginning of this year, the export volume of household energy storage equipment in the whole Taizhou region has increased by more than 700% year on year, which has been continuing the good trend.
10. Overseas tourism market recovered, and luggage export rebounded strongly
As the traditional export commodity of our country, as the overseas tourism market recovers, the export of the case has ushered in a bounceback growth. Data from China Economic Research Institute shows that the export volume of leather bags and similar containers in China from January to October 2022 was 95,834 tons, an increase of 16,824 tons compared with the same period in 2021, with a year-on-year growth of 21.8%; Exports amounted to $25,847,795 million, an increase of $540.685,000 or 26.6 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
As one of the three major luggage production bases in China, Zhejiang Pinghu mainly exports travel trolley cases, with the export volume of luggage accounting for about one third of the country. Since the beginning of this year, more than 400 local luggage manufacturing enterprises are generally in a busy overtime work state, foreign trade orders have maintained a growth of more than 50%, the first eight months of this year is a year-on-year increase of 60.3% exports of luggage and bags, to 2.07 billion yuan, a total of 250 million exports of luggage and bags. Under the policy dividend of RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement), orders from relevant regions are also increasing significantly. Among them, the export volume of Pinghu Luggage to RCEP countries was 290 million yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 77.65%, outpacing the overall growth rate. In addition, Australia, Singapore and Japan have seen particularly strong growth in orders this year.
In addition to Zhejiang, Li Wenfeng, vice president of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Light Industrial Crafts, pointed out that orders in major domestic bag and case producing areas such as Guangdong, Fujian and Hunan have all seen rapid growth this year.
11. Chinese LCD TV export volume increased by 30%

The latest data from China's General Administration of Customs show that the country's LCD TV exports continue to grow. Exports in July were 8.43 million units, up 30.4 percent year on year. The cumulative export volume from January to July was 51.58 million units, up 16.4 percent year on year. Industry insiders believe that in recent years, the quality and technology of TV products made in China have reached the international leading level, recognized by overseas consumers.

12. China's auto exports are rising in quality. European and North American markets are growing at a prominent rate
New energy vehicle
It is understood that in the first half of 2022, the global sales volume of new energy vehicles exceeded 4.22 million, a year-on-year growth of 66.3%, of which China's new energy vehicle sales accounted for more than 60% of the global sales volume, a year-on-year growth of 115%. China exported 499,000 new energy vehicles from January to October this year, up 96.7 percent year on year, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers disclosed recently. China's production and sales of new energy vehicles have ranked first in the world for many consecutive years, entering a period of comprehensive marketization and expansion.
In 2022, the main export markets of new energy vehicles are Mexico, Chile, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and Russia. The European market has become a major new export destination for many Chinese-made electric vehicles. According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs, in the first half of 2022, Western Europe accounted for 34% of the export market of new energy passenger vehicles, among which Belgium was the country that imported the largest number of new energy vehicles from China in the first half of the year.
Two wheel electric vehicle
Our country is the largest exporter of two-wheeler electric vehicles in the world. Exports of two-wheeled electric vehicles are booming this year, CCTV Finance reported. According to Chinese customs data, the export market of China's two-wheeled electric vehicles has been expanding. From January to July 2022, China's exports of two-wheeled electric vehicles reached 20.63 billion yuan, up more than 9 percent year on year. Under the global economic downturn caused by the epidemic in recent years, China's export of two-wheeled electric vehicles took off against the trend, exporting 17.940,600 units in 2020 and 22.9 million units in 2021. It is almost certain that China will achieve rapid growth again this year.
According to the China Automobile Dealers Association, a total of 15,000 used cars will be exported in 2021. In the first half of this year, the export of used cars has exceeded 16,000. At the same time, the average unit price of used cars exported to China has also increased significantly, from less than $5,000 in 2019 to nearly $15,000 in 2021.
Used cars are exported mainly to the "Belt and Road" countries and regions. The Country Guide for China's Used Car Export (2021) shows that China's used cars have been sold to nearly 80 countries and regions around the world. Among them, 10,566 used cars were exported to countries along the "Belt and Road", accounting for 97% of the total exports, and the export value was 64.55 million US dollars, accounting for 93.8% of the total export value. In terms of specific export countries, Nigeria, Angola, Benin, Mongolia and Djibouti are the top five export markets.
